Houston, Spring & The Woodlands Nose Surgery
Your nose is the central feature on your face, and for this reason, an overly large, small, upturned, crooked or bumpy nose can significantly detract from your appearance. Some people are simply born with a nose that doesn’t fit their face, while others may have experienced an injury that caused their nose to become misshapen or deformed.
Whether your nasal cosmetic concerns are the result of genetics or trauma, rhinoplasty (commonly referred to as nose surgery or a nose job) can correct any number of nasal deformities, as well as help improve breathing problems.
Rhinoplasty surgery is one of the most commonly performed plastic surgery procedures that adults, and occasionally teens, seek to achieve better balance and harmony between their facial features.
During your consultation, Dr. Cho will have an in-depth discussion with you about your nose re-shaping goals and study your facial anatomy carefully to determine which rhinoplasty techniques are right for you.
The particulars of each rhinoplasty procedure vary greatly due to the complexity of the nose and the unique nature of each patient’s facial anatomy, but in general the procedure is performed under sedation or general anesthesia and takes about 1 to 3 hours.
Rhinoplasty may be performed as an open or closed procedure. With open rhinoplasty, a small incision is placed under the nose so that Dr. Cho is able to easily see and manipulate underlying nasal structures. Closed rhinoplasty does not involve any incisions outside the nose, however this technique is usually reserved for less complex nose re-shaping.
